Aldeburgh also makes a great base from which to explore the surrounding Suffolk countryside. There are many walks, both coast and country, and a number of nature reserves, including Havergate Island and RSPB Minsmere. There is sailing on the River Alde and some excellent golf courses in Suffolk at Thorpeness and Aldeburgh.
At the end of the day relax at The Brudenell Hotel. This rather special Suffolk hotel is situated at the southern end of the town, close to the Sailing Club.
