A RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
TA Hotel Collection has appointed a new general manager, Garth Wray, and a new head chef, James Barber, to its flagship coastal property the Brudenell Hotel in Aldeburgh.
Garth’s career highlights include roles at The Langham, London; Wentworth Club, Surrey; The Bath Spa Hotel; and more recently as General Manager of Milsoms Kesgrave Hall. Garth is a graduate of the prestigious Savoy Educational Trust and Worshipful Company of Innholders scholarship and was lucky enough to experience his scholarship at Cranfield School of Management.
Garth’s first step has been to appoint James Barber to the role of Head Chef. James was a national finalist in both the Gordon Ramsay and Roux Brothers scholarships. This has led to an impressive career including head chef roles with John Burton Race at the Michelin starred New Angel in Dartmouth and for Mitch Tonks helping him launch his Rockfish establishment in Dartmouth.
Garth said "I’m delighted to join the Brudenell, it has a great reputation and a location that's without equal. We're already taking things further forward with the launch of James' new modern British menu inspired by the coast. I look forward to welcoming guests and diners new and old"
Grahame Tinnion Managing Director of TA Hotel Collection said "We’re delighted to have Garth and James on board and are looking forward to an exciting future"
